About Carlson Accounting

In 1981 Bill Carlson closed the doors to his dream of owning a local hardware store. As he sat with his family for dinner, searching for direction, he looked around the table and realized it was right there. At that moment Bill decided he would do whatever he could to help other small, local businesses succeed in a new world, filled pitfalls. Shortly after he signed up for classes at Webber University and embarked on a new journey. Four years later Bill was excited to graduate from college the same year his oldest son finished high school. Carlson Accounting was born in 1986.

In 1996, Jeff Carlson, Bill's younger son, joined his firm as a staff accountant. Jeff quickly integrated into the family operated business by adding his financial and management consulting expertise to their knowledge base.

We’ve grown several times over the years. In 1998 we partnered with my good, friend Phllip Statler. We were able to integrate his accounting practice into our firm allowing him to take off to pursue a successful career as a trusted Wealth Manager.

Last year the community lost a hero with the passing of Tom Lenihan. He was a community leader that gave back every chance he could. From his church to Boy Scouts and many other not for profits, Tom was there. He and his wife Susan built a very successful accounting practice over the years. I was honored that Susan decided to bring their clients over to Carlson Accounting.

Today our Firm is a lot different than when Bill and Donna opened in the doors 30 years ago. But we still serve our clients with fast, friendly service. Please call our office today and ask for one of us so we can make your life a lot easier.
